Babywearing is a great way to connect with your baby, as well as have your hands free to get things done. If you are interested in slings, or would like more information, contact me by e-mail at:

Hi! I just found your site and love all your instructions! Have you made your own Mei Tai? I have been looking all over the Internet and have yet to find some really good instructions on how to make one. I'd love to make one for my new baby since they are so expensive to buy new.
Melissa, I'm so glad you've found me. I have made two mei tais - the one in the picture being the better of the two. I didn't have any instructions to go off - I just figured it out myself. I haven't posted instructions here b/c 1) making it was really labor intensive and 2) I'm not confident enough in the sturdiness of the mei tai I sewed to share it w/ others (in case they don't sew it as well as I did and have a seam rip). These are the best instructions I've found out in the www.
Actually, now that I look through those instructions, I'm kinda inspired to sew one myself. If I can talk my mom into videotaping me making one, I'll be sure to post it ASAP.
:( The link for the instructions for the mei tai is no longer valid. I just found your site and I love it. Thank you for the great ideas. I'm hoping for a sewing machine for christmas. I grew up sewing with my mom and she inspires me to get some sewing done for my own twins :) Thanks for the great directions!
